WAKA! WAKA!

Holz have done one thing to this amused medic-they’ve brought me closer to football :D. The last wc as far as I can recall, except for a cool head butt and a sneaky wink, was a complete snore! Goals were a real rarity.

But This WC has been heck nail-bitingly exciting.

In Germany vs Eng we all saw it end with 4 speedy, spectacular goals by the Germans to 1; highlights included a crystal clear goal made by the English-seen by what.. billions around the globe, go sadly unseen by the people who should have seen it.. the refs! Another highlight was of course the whole world realising how fat the English dudes have become(Rooney! His prvt helicopter must have lift off issues… when he’s on ;P).

Then Japan, in tears, losing on penalty kicks :s awww but I got to see a golden Honda for the first time ;P.

The last minute surreal drama in Ghana vs Uraguay and awesome saves by Ura’s keeper in the penalty kicks. Every player seemed to want a yellow card; the ref was of course all to happy to give them :P

In the match of the tournament, Ger vs the red bulls of Spain, it was going pretty close, but an unbelievable, mighty header by Puyol in midair, coming from Xavi's bull's eye kick sealed the deal for the bulls. The match, though, has made me a fan of Ger’s Ozil and Schweinsteiger.

So irrespective of how the final goes, this wc has finally made me understand why the whole world’s nuts over football… golden Hondas, fat Rooneys, midair headers, penalty kicks, players back flipping when they goal... It’s Crazy. It’s Fun. It’s Football. N I’ve caught the bug! :D
