Preparing for a sibling's Nikkah

Work...work.. work... plannings..shopping...discussions...stress...brain storming... arrangements... but there's NOTHING more wonderful than an occasion of your sibling getting married! :)

The last min stuff I rushed for: A Citizen watch for Numair Bhai... felt a bit weird trying to get something for a guy ... was a first :P and I was completely lost ... but kudos to Zuzu n mimster for helping :) ... Got cufflings for Sumair... went through tons of bags for Afroze but ahhh didn't like any so her gift is still due. Lets see then... bought gift bags, wrapping paper, glitter, cards... yup the works! I had the above card printed .. it looked really cute :) Oh plus 10 nikah cards. (I was busy attaching them to the flower hangings when the 'dhula' ppl arrived! So I had to ditch attaching the cards.. the result? .. hehe three extremely lonely looking cards stuck awkwardly on the hangings.. Lol! I put the rest in bouquets and they complemented them, looked nice. :) Then took those 3 off when I got the chance... Everyone noticed them and liked them. :)

Dad really showed awesome administration, and my sis looked really pretty MA. What a wonderful day!

(This is a quick ramble of mine... I'd like to write something better planned for the event :) Will do so whenever I get time)

Pharm..huh?!?...ology

Dad's a pharmacology Professor.

My elder sister's about to complete her Pharm-d course...

So pharma's supposed to be in my genes. 'It's supposed to be etched on every rbc of mine...' (Quote: Lucknawi Baaaig ;p)

Yet Pharma for me is what ketchup is for tea (Nay! we don't mix together!)
The disgusting tea/ketch mix up there is in all respects
a perfect symbolism of my brain n the drugs stored in them. Period.
How did generations of students memorise this stuff I wonder as I stare down on my lippin...
How can docs learn ALL those drug names without going gaga... I ponder on as it rains outside...
Why couldn't we have simpler drug names .. I constantly think.. as I dig my teeth into lunch....

Amused M: Why can't I memorise pharma ?
Why?? WhYY?? WHYYY????!!

I mean antipsychotics: chloropromazine, thiaridazine... UGH who came up with those? Why couldn't they simply be 'Crazy drug1' 'Crazy drug2'???

So CNS test... it's the drug names that're killers .. can never remember whether the drug name ends with -dine or -dole or-zine or if started with chlor or chloro...

Tough.

I've always idealised docs as having drug names neatly stored in their grey cells.... always ready to reel off how a drug acts, what adverse effects it can cause, it's contraindications... How is that possible? I remember all this the exam day and it'll be a miracle...

Maybe I'm watching too much House. Actually I am.. hmmm

...No Doctor House.. def not me!! :p

So I guess it's confirm then. I'm mutated. By all hereditary probabilities I should be a whiz-kid at pharma.
But no.. Im struggling to put two parts of every drug name together.. : /

I guess it'd take hours for me to recall drug names for a prescription. My poor patients better bring their knitting needles... they'd have a long wait if I'm to write those drug names.

V for Vedetta

''Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof!''

-V in V for Vendetta

(My views: LOVED the movie! It was amazing how Hugo managed to maitain his acting and agility with a mask. Natalie Portman was spectacular. But what really hits you is the theme, its relevance and some juicy lines that hit you right in the core. The above s one of them. So remember remember the fifth of Novemeber...and... the V for Vendetta's plot! :P)
