The Rebel...that fell

Ok.. so we had a biochem genetics test the last day before our eid hols...
Fasts... a horrid syllabus and ooo-eid's-coming!! feelings must have had something to do with NOONE wanting to prep for the test... I mean more than the usual :P

But like always,
bang our heads against our books we did...
show up the test day, we did...
and buy answer sheets from our uni's photocopy shop to write what-nots, we did...

Test time: We find out the test's out of syllabus!
Arrray waaah ye tou kisi ko be nai ata.... shukaaaaaar.. Yes! Yes!..  bach gai!!
uhh what I meant was: how horrible!

We protested, then got a lecture from granny...
Protested some more, and got a bigger, louder lecture from granny...

I put my pen down.
I Smelled it.
I Heard it.
I Felt it.
The scent, the call, the feel of a Rebellion.

My Thoughts then: Come on this is it!! Noone wants to give it right! We don't even know it! So we should just Walk out!!!! Boycott!!!!!!! Strike!!!!!!!!! Bhook hartaal if we have to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took a glance at Mango shake on my right. She was still frantically writing like anything (a thing I find seriously freaky), completely deaf to the LOOOOUD rebellion calls in the air. She looked up just once: to tell me to not waste time n continue writing.

My Thoughts then:  Kia likon agr kuch ata nahein and she could break her hand at that speed!

And then, we all heard it: slogans, shouts. The misters in our class weren't giving the test.

My Thoughts then: Cool! and hey, do my thoughts have a loudspeaker somewhere...uh oh :P

A msg was conveyed to the girls to do the same. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd of course:

We.just.sat.there.and.did.nothing.
I looked expectantly at our G.R.. Twice. And said Chalo! Chalo! She was willing. I could tell. She just needed a push. Sadly, that didn't come. I'd credit granny for that. She went all this'll cost you in your prof!! And you know what words like that can do to girls. Sigh.

My Thoughts then: Awww No rebellion??!! and hmmm granny must have had zero friends when she was in med school.

In the end, give the test, we did... Giving it was more agonising than...than... getting bitten by a centipede (trust me! it just happened recently)

Our teachers kept saying that what the misters did was stupid.
Yet, it was us who gave a stupid test, with stupid answers, that'll probably just win us stupid marks.
My Thoughts then and now: Who's the real stupid one??!!
